Mission Statement for Mater Dolorosa and St. Joseph Parishes

      We, a Catholic Community of Mater Dolorosa Parish, Chicora, and St. Joseph Parish, North Oakland under the guidance and protection of Mater Dolorosa and St. Joseph, seek to live the presence of Jesus Christ with our lives through liturgical worship, Christian education, caring service, faithful stewardship, and Christian evangelization. We will fulfill our mission through the leadership of the Bishop of Pittsburgh and his representatives, and through the sacred tradition of the Catholic Church.

Holy Communion to the Sick:

When a parishioner is confined to home because of illness, advanced age, or

infirmity, please call the Rectory and arrangements will be made to take Holy

Communion to the person.
